The Loughborough Bellfoundry Museum is now open!
Following the Covid-19 pandemic, the Loughborough Bellfoundry Trust is delighted that our museum has reopened with Covid-safe measures in place. Visit our Access page for more information about your visit and what we are doing to keep you safe.
WE ARE CURRENTLY TAKING BOOKINGS FOR MUSEUM VISITS & FOUNDRY TOURS
VISIT THE LOUGHBOROUGH BELLFOUNDRY MUSEUM
From June 21st, we are delighted to offer these hour-long visits, including access to our viewing gantry with its spectacular views of the Victorian casting hall and lots of hands-on activities. Our specially-priced group ticket is ideal for families visiting during the school holidays!
FRIDAY FOUNDRY TOURS
In June and July 2021, we will be running four Friday afternoon tours of the Bellfoundry Works. These 90-minute guided tours take you behind the scenes in our craftsman’s workshops, including a visit to the magical tuning shop. Your visit will also include a guided tour of the Loughborough Bellfoundry Museum.
Details of available museum visit slots and tour tickets can be found above. As the world reopens, we will further update our regular opening hours.
Educating the next generation about the importance of the Loughborough Bellfoundry is essential if we are to protect the site for years to come.
As part of our mission to revive and restore the bellfoundry, we are looking to work with local schools to develop a new education programme at the Bellfoundry Museum. This might involve bringing your class to visit us, or our Heritage Engagement Officer coming out to you.
